Built to specific client requirements and CR / Lloyds SSC survey, Shiang Shin was launched in March 2015 for inter-island transport off the coast of Taipei. Designed by One2Three Naval Architects, the custom built aluminium ferry offers the reliability and speed required for the ferry industry. The vessel’s striking appearance has made her a star attraction on the Taiwanese waterways.
Tailored to meet the specific requirements of a family owned and operated business the vessel, which is packed with features has set a new benchmark for new vessels in its operating area. The vessel accommodates 200 passengers in an efficient manner with cargo capacity at the rear of the main deck.
Fast, efficient and extremely seworthy, Shiang Shin achieved above contract speed of 34 Knots at 90% MCR performing above expectations.
With a trimaran hullform, Shiang Shin is powered by two MTU 12V2000 M84 diesel engines which efficiently power Rolls Royce controlled Kamewa waterjets.
